Here are just a few in no particular order. Congratulations to all the finishers and Thank you to everyone that had a part in the 2011 Chequamegon 100! We are all excited about how this year's event developed.
Thanks Joe, Tim, volunteers and businesses that made this a great event. The course marking and route this year were fantastic. I don't know how you worked in just enough rain to keep things interesting.
The work "epic" is so cliche... But this ride/ race is true to that definition. The others that are popping up these days just to cash in pale in comparison, but are overdone in hype...
wait a second here, course markings were fantastic? i was a spectator this year and at all of the trailheads/road crossings/atv trails that we could get to, more than 50% of the riders relied on us to tell them which way to go. granted, if given enough time to ride around in circles, back track, look at a map, they would have found their way. But shouldn't the trails be marked even better, i had a hard time seeing most of the VERY SMALL signs, and i was either walking or in my car. when you've been in the saddle for hours on end, the last thing you want to do is look for a small arrow on a stick. less small signs and more large (9x13 minimum) with a big 100 and an arrow would help a lot.
Fantastic event guys! Thanks so much for the effort you and the other volunteers put into the marking. It's a good feeling to have ridden the majority of the prime singletrack in that area all in a day. Thanks again!
Outstanding time riding through the Chequamegon trails! Thanks for putting this together, marking the trails, and challenging all! Race report at http://www.littleguyracing.com/site/
The route was marked so well I could have ridden the entire thing without the cue sheet or any maps. This is quite a difference from last year when it was not marked in any way, where the cue sheets and maps were vital (GPS didn't hurt either). This year, it took me a long time to get over that and just ride (my fault). Either year it was an amazing and fun event; I could not imagine it better. Well maybe no rain would have been nice; you guys will have to work on that for the future (sarcasm)! Thank you for your great effort in making this event happen!
Agree with the previous sentiments, as a 2-timer, this year's course markings were exceptional, save for a few small areas that required some additional confirmation before moving on.
Great event, great time, great group of guys. Thanks for everything you've done to make the event happen & make mtb'ing in the Midwest the best anywhere.
Oh, one suggestion... There seem to be a lot of rocks on the trails up there. It's really rough to ride a bike on, as you can imagine. If next year someone can smooth them out, maybe brush them aside or pick them up and move them off the trail, that'd be really great. Appreciate that. Thanks.
I really, really enjoyed this. The humor works brilliantly, and the animation is much better than I had imagined. The way you have “blended” (hehe) it all together makes this look like a solid, whole product, as good as any Pixar short. Probably better. But then again: That’s my opinion. we offer cheap ed hardy up to 35%-65% off, ed hardy ed hardy is a kind of street style clothing online store, they are all the newest and cheap ed hardy. http://www.edhardychothing.com/ ed hardy t-shirts

ReplyDeleteI think you guys got the course marking equation just right this year. We made it through the course quite well.
ReplyDeleteThanks a lot for organizing this event. I really, really like it!
